Jonathan Koch earned his place on The Little Nell's esteemed sommelier team in 2021. His career in hospitality ultimately began as a chef in the heart of the house at a Country Club in Colorado Springs. A few years later, Jonathan was accepted into the Culinary Institute of America and graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts Management. In succession to his graduation, Jonathan sought out The Little Nell for its exemplary service and elevated food & beverage program. He exchanged his chef knife for a wine key after passing the Court of Master Sommelier's Level I and II certifications. With these achievements, he uncovered his fondness for facilitating experiences that allow people to escape the stresses of their everyday lives through enjoying excellent food and wine. In 2016, Jonathan moved to the Golden Gate City, San Francisco, to further sharpen his wine expertise at the Michelin-starred restaurant Mourad. He returned five years later to The Little Nell to officially join the sommelier team, eager to once again be surrounded by some of the rarest and most sought-after bottles on the market. Most recently, he has been accepted into the Advanced Sommelier course and is working towards achieving his Level III certification.
