Sommelier, Rachael Liggett-Draper

Rachael Liggett-Draper moved to Aspen in 2021, becoming the first female on The Little Nell’s team of sommeliers. Over the years, she found her true passion in the hospitality side of business. Taking care of guests and creating memorable experiences have been “the ultimate highlight” of her profession. Her career in the restaurant industry began as a host at an upscale bowling alley that happened to have a deep wine cellar. It was there that she first began reading Wine for Dummies and started down the testing path with the Court of Master Sommeliers. Her career in Vail included many great restaurants and wine bars and after achieving her Advanced Certification, she began to look for a position with one of the prestigious wine programs in the country. When an opportunity opened at The Little Nell, she jumped at the chance to further pursue her achievements while still being able to stay in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Here, she is currently working towards the Master Sommelier Examination. When she is not studying wine, she is exploring the outdoors on her bike, encompassing the lifestyle “eat, wine, bike, sleep, repeat.”
