Evan Itzkowitz has never met a stranger — a trait he traces to a childhood spent moving between the country's coastlines as part of a Navy family, where conversation became second nature and connection became instinct.
Evan's introduction to fine dining came at Boulder's Frasca Food & Wine, the Michelin-starred restaurant helmed by Master Sommelier Bobby Stuckey, where he discovered a world of precision, pace, and hospitality that would define his path. What began as a restaurant job became a vocation: he left his studies at CU Boulder to pursue it fully, honing his craft behind the bar at the St. Julien Hotel & Spa and Denver's Mercantile Dining & Provision.
Evan joined Element 47 in 2024, the same year he earned his Introductory and Certified Sommelier certifications from the Court of Master Sommeliers. He continued to deepen his expertise at the Aspen Mountain Club and Betula before returning to The Little Nell as a sommelier — a homecoming rooted in his pursuit of mastery and his devotion to the craft.
For Evan, wine is never just what's in the glass. It is an invitation — to conversation, to discovery, and to the kind of connection that lingers long after the last pour.
