Darien Vickery, General Manager, Sundeck & AspenX Mountain Club

Darien Vickery has always had a career in hospitality, stemming from her teenage years working a hot dog stand for her local rotary club. Prior to starting college, Darien worked at a high end restaurant and banquet facility in South Africa to explore a career in hospitality. This experience fueled her to study Hospitality Management at ML Sultan Hotel School. After obtaining her degree, Darien moved to London to work as a restaurant supervisor. In 2002, she was recruited by The Little Nell and started as a banquet server, working her way up to banquet captain, room service captain, banquet manager, banquet director, and to her current role as the General Manager at the Sundeck and ASPENX Mountain Club, where she oversees the daily operations of both facilities, including lunch at the Sundeck and members-only ASPENX Mountain Club, and also private events and functions. Darien says she loves working at the majestic setting atop Aspen Mountain and working for a company that focuses on sustainability. Outside of work, Darien enjoys snowboarding and enjoying life in the mountains.
