Csaba "Chubby" Oveges is as well known for his knowledge of wine, spirits and fine dining as he is for his unwavering charm. An Advanced Sommelier, he specializes in pairing wines, fashioning drinks, and anticipating guests’ every need. Chubby’s introduction to hospitality began at a young age helping at his family’s restaurant in Hungary’s Lake Balaton region. His career has since taken him around the world, first working for Kempinski Hotels in Budapest from 1998-2002, and eventually moving to Aspen in 2004 for a position at the Aspen Mountain Club, which is managed by The Little Nell. In 2009, he was promoted to maître d’ at Montagna at The Little Nell. In 2012, Montagna reopened as element 47 which Chubby oversaw as General Manager. In 2014, he was promoted to Assistant F&B Director and then F&B Director in 2016. He is currently enrolled at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business in the executive MBA program as a candidate in the class of 2019. He and his wife, Ana Kelly, whom he met at The Nell, share a passion for fine dining and world travels.
