Melina Glavas, Senior Event Sales Manager
Melina Glavas grew up in Southern California, and studied Corporate Communications & Public Affairs at Southern Methodist University in Texas. A self-described “Greek Goddess of hospitality” on her Instagram bio, Melina was destined to be a mover and shaker in the industry. While studying abroad in Paris for a year in college and taken by the historic hotels, acclaimed restaurants and graceful service for which France and Europe are known, she found her calling to work in hospitality. After graduating from college, she moved to Aspen, working as a Sales & Marketing Assistant for the Ritz-Carlton, then as a Catering Manager for The Sky Hotel. In 2006, Melina joined The Little Nell as Director of Events. In 2013, her position evolved into Senior Event Sales Manager with a move back home to Laguna Beach to focus on new business for The Little Nell with leading wedding planners and high-profile clients. Melina has been recognized by the Colorado Hotel & Lodging Association with the “Star of the Industry” as Employee of the Year and also earned her Level 1 Sommelier certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers. She volunteers her time with the Nancy Davis Foundation, The SMU Southern California Alumni Chapter, and mentoring students at Laguna Beach High School. Melina loves to travel, spend time with her family and friends, entertain at home, ski, swim, play tennis and practice yoga.
