Meghan McGarvey has always had an admiration and talent for crafting unique pastries and desserts. After deciding to master this innate ability on a higher level, Meghan moved to Hyde Park, New York, to attend the esteemed Culinary Institute of America. She graduated with an associate's degree in baking and pastry arts in 2018. Following a stint working in Lincoln Park in Chicago at Vanille, a French Patisserie, she moved from the windy city to the mountain town of Aspen in the winter of 2019 and joined The Little Nell team. Working her way up from pastry cook to pastry sous and now her current role as pastry chef, Meghan has taken the helm to lead the five-star hotel's all-female bake shop to create beautiful cakes, pastries, desserts, and much more. Meghan oversees the operations for all pastries throughout each of the venues on the property, including Element 47, Ajax Tavern, The Wine Bar, and Banquets. With the unusual effect altitude has on baking, Meghan is a specialist at crafting all types of baked goods at such great heights, from elaborate wedding cakes to macarons and even bread. She loves working with savory applications in pastry and creating modern plated desserts.
