Aspen paragliding

Take in the breathtaking mountain views from above by embarking on a tandem paragliding adventure. Experience the perfect blend of thrill and tranquility as you soar high above picturesque Aspen. Paragliding is the simplest and purest form of aviation, which involves using a non-powered inflated wing to launch from hillsides and mountain slopes. Enjoy a bird's-eye view of the area as you paraglide off the front side of Aspen Mountain and feel the sensation of soaring high in the sky like a bird. Thanks to its partnership with the Aspen Skiing Company, the U.S. Forest Service, the City of Aspen, and Pitkin County, Aspen Paragliding has exclusive access to local teaching sites. The entire experience takes approximately two hours, and the duration of the flight may vary depending on the weather and wind conditions of the day.

Paragliding is suitable for people aged 10 to 75 years old, and your tandem flight includes a ground school course in paragliding that covers all the information required by the FAA about your flight.

Aspen Paragliding is an acclaimed and reputable paragliding school, which specializes in providing top-notch tandem instruction, certification, mountain and thermal soaring clinics, glider inspection and repair, accessory installation, and international adventure travel excursions. The school boasts having USHPA certified pilots with expertise in flying, teaching, and competition, ensuring a safe and enjoyable introduction to paragliding for all students. The instructors are certified by the United States Hang Gliding & Paragliding Association, which is the highest attainable rating. The tandem pilots of Aspen Paragliding are among the best in the country, committed to making your flying experience secure and unforgettable. Only the most advanced technical equipment is used for tandem flights and instruction.

Wind protection and proper footwear are the highest priorities to enhance the enjoyment and comfort of your flight. The launch sites are almost 11,000 feet above sea level. Participants should be prepared for cooler temperatures.

Layered clothing with a windproof outer shell is best. Long pants. Ankle support/ hiking boots are also highly recommended. Sandals, clogs, etc. are not acceptable. Aspen Paragliding supplies all technical gear (helmet, harness, etc.)

A fee of $400 per person is charged for cancellations within 24 hours of a scheduled flight, if Aspen Paragliding is unable to fill the space. For groups of 5 or more 48 hours are requested. Should the weather necessitate a schedule change, guests are not charged and rescheduling is attempted for a future date & time. It’s recommended to schedule a flight early during one’s visit, as this allows more flexibility for weather related delays.
