Shawna Rahm, Director of Events

Shawna Rahm dreamed of a career in hospitality ever since she was young, traveling with her mother and experiencing the warmth and grandeur at various hotels around the world. After graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Hospitality Business, Shawna moved to Aspen for an internship at Aspen Meadows Resort. Over the course of five years, she worked her way through various departments including sales, reservations and food & beverage. Shawna's passion for weddings and events stemmed from seeing clients' visions grow from concept to reality. Fast forwarding through a snapshot of Shawna’s experience including: a two year stint in Palm Springs, CA as Director of Catering, two years at The Little Nell as Events Manager, a little real estate, a little private event planning and three years at the Hotel Jerome as Director of Events. Shawna has now returned home to The Nell as of November of 2018, and is excited to lead the team of smart, hard-working ladies.

She considers The Nell to be the crème de la crème to host an event, with an exceptional food and wine program, and a team of professionals executing events to the highest caliber. In her free time, Shawna enjoys traveling, cooking, skiing, stand up paddle boarding and hiking with her dog, Bernadette.
