General Manager, Andrew Hawkins

Andrew initially pursued a career in engineering, and after a few years realized his passion was in food and beverage. He worked as a line cook at a local brewery, which cemented his decision to enroll in culinary school. Andrew earned his Bachelor of Science in Food Service Management from Johnson & Wales University in 2011, as well as an Introductory Sommelier certification. Following graduation, he worked as a Manager in Training at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta until 2013, when he was promoted to Assistant Restaurant Manager. In 2014, Andrew moved to Hawaii to take over the role as Restaurant General Manager at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, where he designed and executed their wine by the glass program. Following a two-year stint in Hawaii, Andrew moved to South Carolina to work at Montage Palmetto Bluff as Restaurant & Bar Manager, where he created their private dining program. Andrew joined The Little Nell team in November 2017 as General Manager at element 47. Living in a luxury mountain town had always been on Andrew’s bucket list, and when he was presented with the opportunity to work at The Little Nell in America’s most famous mountain town, he couldn’t resist. When he’s not managing Aspen’s only Five-Star restaurant, you can find Andrew skiing, mountain biking, hiking and enjoying life in the Roaring Fork Valley with his wife, Abby, and dog, Max.
