February 7 | Aspen highlands

The three-race Aspen Snowmass SkiMo Race Series returns this year with short courses that include uphill and downhill skiing as well as some bootpacking. 

Join in the fun and challenge yourself with friends and against local athletes. This is the perfect opportunity to work on your individual race technique, fine-tune your transitions, and enjoy the incredible terrain of Aspen Mountain and/or Aspen Highlands. This race is open to athletes of all abilities, We will have a competitive course as well as a beginner course.

Registration for all three races is free! No online registration is required. You will need to check in and sign a waiver prior to each race. Registration will take place in Aspen Expeditions beginning at 6:00 AM.

Each race is approximately 1 hour long.They include at least one uphill section and one downhill section, the competitive course will include mandatory bootpack section. Race formats will vary each week, some races will test how many course laps you can complete within a designated time frame while others will be a single loop through the course. There will be a rec course as well as a competitive course.

All racers must wear a helmet. A SkiMo race style backpack is recommended.

Your reward for putting in a hard day on the mountain. Drop-in for beer, wine, cocktails and bar fare from 3 pm - 9 pm, and enjoy DJs daily from 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm.

Brazilian Chef Thomas Troisgros will take over element 47 for a one night only, five-course dinner. Thomas is part of the fourth generation of chefs in the Troisgros family, a revolutionary name in contemporary gastronomy. He currently works in his family’s restaurants in Brazil, alongside his father Claude.
