Plans are underway to remodel The Little Nell’s famed Montagna Restaurant in the fall of 2012.

Montagna, The Little Nell’s award-winning restaurant, is renowned for serving contemporary American cuisine that is sustainable and seasonally-driven with global influences. While a commitment to sustainable, local food will remain, the new restaurant will feature a new look, menu and name.

The Little Nell has hired restaurant design giant Bentel & Bentel to spearhead the renovation. Some design elements guests should expect to see include a stronger connection between the vibrant bar to the dining room, a focus on large-scale artwork, a glass wine wall incorporating the restaurant’s Wine Spectator Grand Award-winning cellar, contemporary furnishings and lighting that will provide a distinct look for each meal period.

The restaurant will close Sept. 10, 2012, for the renovation and will open on November 22, in time for Thanksgiving. 

Bentel & Bentel has garnered numerous awards in restaurant design, such as the James Beard Award for Restaurant Design as well as induction in the Hospitality Design Hall of Fame. Notable projects include The Modern, a restaurant at the Museum of Modern Art; Eleven Madison Park; Gramercy Tavern and Le Bernardin in New York City.
