The Little Nell has developed an extensive selection of options and adventures to cater the needs of any angler from novice to expert. Day trips as well as multi-day adventures are available. New this year, guests can try floating in a hand-crafted drift boat while plucking trout from Gold Medal waters.

RIVER TRIPS
Imagine enjoying a secluded section of the famous Roaring Fork River casting a fly for a beautiful trout. Our guides can take you to both public and private sections of the Roaring Fork that hardly ever see another fisherman. We offer both half-day and full-day trips.

FLOAT TRIPS
Enjoy either a half-day or full-day float trip on the Gold Medal waters of the famous Roaring Fork River in our hand-crafted, custom boat. This mahogany beauty is truly a work of art, made especially for The Little Nell by Montana Boat Builders. 

The Whiskey Fly Experience includes a rafting trip for two down the Roaring Fork River with a professional fly fishing guide. After several hours of riding the waves and casting flies, guests arrive at the doorstep of Woody Creek Distillers in nearby Basalt. The new distillery offers tastings of its vodka and other hand-crafted products. That evening guests are treated to a Whiskey Pairing Dinner at the hotel’s new restaurant element 47 with courses like whiskey bread pudding. For those who do not wish to drink or for those under 21, the trip can alternately include a trip to Rock Bottom Ranch – a working ranch located on the banks of the Roaring Fork River – followed by local, Colorado cuisine at the restaurant. 

LAKE TRIPS
The Little Nell has access to private ponds and lakes where you can catch your own dinner. Your guide will quickly clean your fish and put it on ice, then it will be expertly prepared and served to you in our restaurant or your guest room, paired with a superb wine. Or, have chef accompany on your trip and cook the meal in the great outdoors. We offer both half- and full-day experiences for all skill levels.

HELICOPTER TRIPS
We offer the ultimate in an Aspen fly fishing experience. Take an incredibly scenic helicopter flight over the spectacular Colorado Rockies to a private ranch, where you will fish for beautiful trophy trout in a dream setting not seen by many who visit Aspen.

WOMEN'S CLINICS
Learn the basics of casting skills and simple knots, and then translate the basics into catching a fish. On this adventure, our guides will teach you how to “read” a stream, learn where the fish will be and how to present your fly to catch one. This adventure takes you to either private ponds or secluded sections of the Roaring Fork so you can put your new skills to use.

FAMILY TRIPS
How about making your fishing experience a family affair? We have areas to take the whole family, including grandparents, where all can enjoy beautiful surroundings, plenty of fish and a great picnic.
