The Little Nell’s Director of Fly Fishing, David Doerr, has developed an extensive selection of options and adventures to cater the needs of any angler, from novice to expert.  Private excursions can include a secluded morning clinic of fly casting where necessary techniques for the sport are taught.  This skill-set will be followed by a perfectly prepared gourmet lunch (streamside) by The Little Nell’s James Beard nominated Executive Chef Ryan Hardy.  Lifestyle experiences are also available through multi-day trips where guests will enjoy camping in the pristine Colorado backcountry or floating in a hand-crafted drift boat, while plucking Brook, Cutthroat, Rainbow or Brown Trout from the Gold Medal waters of the Roaring Fork or Frying Pan rivers.

Working closely with the David Doerr will be former Olympic downhill ski racer turned five-time Gold Cup fisherman, Andy Mill.  Together, these experienced guides will provide unfettered access to the valley’s best fly fishing spots and unrivaled direction for landing the catch of the day ~ whether it’s their first or one-hundredth cast.

The Little Nell has also partnered with the celebrated brand Hardy of England to outfit guests with all of their equipment needs.  The Nell’s on-site fly fishing shop will exclusively carry the Hardy product line and will feature rods, reels, waders, boots and clothing for rent or purchase.
