
The Little Nell, Aspen’s finest hotel, has set a new standard in hotel guest room design. Internationally-known residential designer Holly Hunt has redesigned The Little Nell’s guest rooms, junior suites, and its corridors, ensuring our iconic and fashionable hotel is as fresh as ever. The hotel closed for the renovations beginning September 8, 2009 and re-opened December 1, 2009.
With a contemporary aesthetic that is indicative of the HOLLY HUNT brand, all of the furniture has been designed specifically to fit the unique attributes of each room. Hunt has created a space offering guests the highest level of comfort that continues to be like a home away from home, exhibiting touches of classic Aspen with warm tones and a residential feel. Operating multi-line showrooms in top U.S. markets that include her own exclusive Studio H furniture, lighting, and textiles, Hunt shares the same philosophy as The Little Nell, that excellent, visually-pleasing design will enhance one’s overall stay experience.
This remodel has updated the hotel’s look and feel, and provided guests with enhanced style along with the comfort they have enjoyed for the past two decades. The Little Nell continues to invest in the highest quality guest offerings and innovative solutions to enhance our sustainable practices throughout the hotel. With room control systems that utilize the most current technology in lighting, music, television, and temperature, guests are able to customize their experience while also conserving energy. LED lighting will ensure a soft, pleasant glow, and with one button, a cutting edge Control4 wireless system developed initially for residential homes, will shut down all energy use in the room. Sensors in each room will shut off all of the lights, fireplace, and reduce the temperature two to three degrees upon exiting.
